Children's Easter Egg Hunt
and Youth Scav
enger Hunt

Following the 10:30 a.m. Service

Children of all ages are invited to join us in the Parish Hall after the service. From there, we will head out to the lawn for an Easter Egg hunt. Middle and high school age kids are welcome to participate in a fun scavenger hunt instead.

Holy Week

Without the journey to the cross, there can be no Easter Sunday.

Palm Sunday

St. Jude's commemorates Jesus' triumphant entry into Jerusalem with a blessing of palms and procession into the church from outdoors.

Children will join in the procession with their families before proceeding to Sunday School.

Maundy Thursday

During a special service, we remember the Last Supper and night in the Garden of Gethsemane before Jesus was arrested. We celebrate the Holy Eucharist and strip the altar.

Thursday, March 28

6:00 p.m.

Holy Saturday

All children are invited to plant an Easter garden, dye eggs, and hear the Easter story on Saturday in our breezeway.

Bring a flower to plant, some gardening tools if you have them, and a few hard-boiled eggs to color.

Wednesday in Holy Week

Many significant events in Jesus' ministry occurred during this last week of his life on earth, including the Sermon on the Mount. On Wednesday, celebrate the Holy Eucharist with us in our chapel.

Communion

Wednesday, March 27

11:00 a.m.

Good Friday

On Good Friday, we remember Jesus' crucifixion. Two services will mark this occasion: at noon we will remember the seven last words of Jesus and hold communion with the Reserve Sacrament. At 6:00 p.m. we will walk the Stations of the Cross in the Sanctuary.

A Celebration for the Whole Family

Nursery available for ages 3 and under during the 8:00 and 10:30 services

At the beginning of the 10:30 Family Service, children of all ages will be invited to bring a flower (provided) to the cross in front of the altar to decorate it for Easter, then proceed to our children's Sunday School classes. They will return to the sanctuary during the service, at the exchange of the peace.
